tl;dr the. best. gyro (yee-rrho). ever. I had to update my review for tonight and tell everyone that TIKKA is still FABULOUS! Sure they have a successful business model. If that wasn't the truth we wouldn't see all of these gyro places popping up for years now! The bad part is that most of these pop up places skate by with the worst food ever. Millions of Americans every year buy into the scam because they had it on good authority that a gyro was good eats. And it is true! A gyro is good eats! But like anything else, only if it's done right. You can rest assured that is what Tikka Grill has in store. Yes, I put on my yoga pants and my UGG boots, I walked in and ordered the classic gyro. The only thing that would have made me more basic is if I had a Starbucks frappucino in my hand. I did have a little internal conflict. I sat there at the register wondering if I would be disappointed by my choice... WRONG, I was dead wrong for even THINKING i would be bored. Let's deconstruct this sandwich, shall we? -Warm, fresh, and soft pita; not just pulled cold out of a bag -bite size pieces of succulent gyro meat; not thinly sliced sitting in a pan for hours and somewhat a resemblance to beef jerky -great tzatziki sauce -fresh lettuce and tomato SOLD SOLD SOLD! This + San Pellegrino drinks for my refreshment! =EVERYTHING. And please, anyone. do not order this sandwich saying, "I would like a JYE-RO" (YEEEEE-RHO) say it with me, roll the R (YEEEEE-RHO) Respect the culture, enjoy the food. That's what life is about.

Really solid place. I ordered the chicken tikka masala sandwich and it was really good. Definitely different but was a good portion and everything seemed fresh. Fries were solid as well. Guys working there were really nice. Pretty inexpensive place. Would definitely recommend.

Today was my first experience and I promise I will be returning. I had the lamb gyro plus and loved it. My mom had the chicken gyro plus and loved it. Dad also had a lamb gyro and loved it. We had the Greek fries, they were good. It's a little place that seems clean and the service was great.

Was really excited to head over here after seeing this on Yelp ' s Top 50 restaurants in Cincinnati, but came away a little disappointed. I will take part of the blame. I passed up the cheese steaks and gyros in favor of a Greek salad with gyro meat (gotta watch the ol' waistline every once in awhile). So, I'm probably not judging based on their best offerings, but have to review what I got. The salad was ok. Veggies/lettuce were fresh and Greek dressing was good. I was disappointed in the gyro meat. It had a good crispness to it but all I got was little shavings/crumbles of meat. I prefer the long slices that you typically get off the rotating gyro spits. Here's what really bugged me... my salad was served in a paper lined plastic basket. Ever tried to eat a salad off of paper lining? The paper shreds and ends up on your (cheap plastic) fork. I'll go back sometime when I can try something more substantial and appealing from the menu. But come on Yelp, Top 50???

Never disappoints! Been here a few times on the $15 for $30 coupon you can get from Deal Chicken- totally gives you looooads of food. Good service and atmosphere, the people are friendly. Food is always delicious, I've had no complaints thus far.

The food is mouthwatering and filled with flavor. I ordered their cheesesteak and I couldn't even finish it on my own. I also tried their Baklava. It was my first time trying it so I'm not really sure on what it's supposed to take like. All I know is, it was pretty satisfying. They have great service. Their workers were extremely friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone with an appetite and a budget.

Tikka Grill is a little off the beaten path, but it is worth it. I got the gyro platter, which comes with basmati rice, tzatziki, pita, and a Greek salad. It was very tasty and everything on the menu seems very well priced. The guy who served me was welcoming and the food came out pretty quickliy. I plan to go back to try the shawarma or falafel as well.

Great food!! The samosas are amazing! Will definitely stop here on our next visit. Friendly staff and very clean restaurant!

This place was just ok. I was a but disappointed after reading the reviews. Nothing I ordered was great ( and with the coupon we ordered alot!) The tiziki and hummus tasted watered down the beef kabobs was basically hamburger and the filafal was bland. Also the tiki wrap was nothing great. We got a good deal with the coupon and the service was good but the food was a disappointment

My boyfriend and I are new to the area and we're doing some exploring. We were hungry and Greek just sounded good so we found this little joint on yelp. The location is a little weird, but we found it easily. The interior is small, but very neat and clean. The service was superb. I'm a picky eater, and the gentleman at the counter helped me special order my gyro and ensured it was done correctly. He was super friendly and polite. Now, the good stuff. My boyfriend and I both got classic gyros and split the Greek fries. The Greek fries are regular french fries with feta cheese, a Greek dressing and olives. The dressing and feta perfectly complimented each other and the fries were crisp but not overdone. Overall, just wonderful. We both devoured our gyros, the meat was well season and crisp, but not overdone, as it so often is. The pita was warm and fluffy, veggies were fresh, and the house made hummus was to DIE FOR. Even though I live in Oxford, I cannot wait to drive 40 minutes to eat here again. Well done, Tikka!

I had high hopes for this place. So many people love it! I got the gyro (I happen to love gyros). It was tasty, but not the best I've ever had. The gyro meat was well seasoned, the pita was soft. They brought out extra tzatziki sauce at our request. Their soda machine was broken, so they generously allowed us to get any drink we wanted-- gotta love those San Pellegrinos. In any case, I did like my meal, but it didn't live up to my expectations, and I simply have had better gyros.

Nice spot. Really liked the Greek salad with gyro meat. Location is a little strange but worth trying. I am going to try other menu items on my next visit.

Honestly, after looking at some of the other Mediterranean restaurants in West Chester, I was a little disappointed when my boyfriend insisted that we try this place. Now I am so happy that he did! Hands down the BEST gyro I have ever had the privilege of consuming. Perfect tzatziki. The basmati rice was expertly seasoned, cooked to the perfect texture. The cardamom tea is not to be missed. My boyfriend really enjoyed his chicken shawarma platter with hummus, which also came with some deliciously tart stuffed grape leaves. Second best part beside the food itself? Really reasonable prices, especially considering the generous portion size. I probably could have made two meals out of this one dish, but I don't have much willpower against such deliciousness. Eat here and be happy!

My mom & I were in the area for a small trip to IKEA and the surrounding area for my spring break. We were staying in West Chester for the weekend and wanted to find somewhere to eat that was not one of the many chain restaurants located by our hotel. I found the Tikka Grill on yelp, and read the promising reviews so we took a trip to get some dinner to go. The location of Tikka Grill, being in a small strip mall by Little Caesers makes it look like just another small business you pass by and never think of, but I promise you it is much more than that. We went inside and the owner, a young man, was the only one there. My mom & I had a few questions about what we were thinking about getting and the owner was more than helpful. Once we had ordered- a chicken gyro, the chicken shawarma, a side salad, the french fries and onion rings. While the owner made our food we talked to him about what we were doing in Cincinnati, and then about how he came to owning and creating this restaurant. He is an absolutely stand up guy and we both enjoyed chatting with him immensely. When we got our food in the bags and got ready to go, I told him i'd make sure to leave him a review on yelp, because we had talked about it and how that was where we saw his restaurant listed. He thanked me, but said to make sure we tried the food first and enjoyed it. So we went back and tried the food & BOY was it great! I don't eat a lot of Mediterranean, but this has made me a nut for gyro's. My gyro was AMAZING. I couldn't stop eating it, and my mom loved hers as well. Everything was amazing, and we ate every last bite. It is incredible and the tzatziki sauce was perfection. Everything we ate was warm, deliciously prepared and every bite was full of amazing flavor. Run, don't walk to Tikka Grill- you'll thank yourself. I will be back as soon as I can make another trip to Cincinnati.

Great place to grab a quick bite. Food is really good with most of the usual suspects... plus Philly cheesesteaks (not sure how that made it to the menu). The cashier was very patient and helpful. He was happy to accommodate substitutions and additions and even offered some recommendations. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich and it was very good.... Great chicken to bread/toppings ratio. The baklava was absolutely delicious. You really can't get much better quality food for the price. On the negative side: The bathroom was kind of dirty and neglected... Which made me a bit nervous about their food safety practices.

What a great find. Situated in a small retail strip and residing next to Little Caesars Pizza, you'd probably not think much about this place. But stop on in, you'll be glad you did. We've dined here twice now and this place has become our go to Gyro joint. Service has always been extremely friendly (we have always gotten carryout) and the food top notch. I don't recall the owners name but each time we've been in there he has been the person running the whole operation. Props to him on this. We've only had the gyro, greek salad and falafel. But all have been excellent and fresh with great flavor. Most impressive is that on our second visit (which was separated by at least 4 mos) the owner remembered us being there. Give them a try, you'll be glad you did. Chris.

Went back recently & the gyro meet was juicy, yet a little crispy on the edges! Perfect! The tomato slices are also a little smaller than before. If you like a little spice, ask for the chili paste! Adds a nice flavor and kick to your dish!

I had seen a few pictures fluttering on IG and was no doubt dying for a tikka gyro since. Well I finally was actually I'm the area and stopped in. I was stoked to see schwarma so I got the platter with a baklava. The platter had hummus, basmati rice, parsley, chicken and some grape leaves with stuffing (not sure what?) and taziki sauce to dip the soft, pillowy pita. Now, I've only had one other Mediterranean restaurant before and that's all I had to compare to. But I am sorry to say I was a little let down! The food looked awesome on the plate but it was just plain, out right bland. Hummus needed some flavor. The rice was a dried out and crispy and the taziki was kind of runny. I loved the fresh bits of parsley on top of the meat, however, and that meat was tasty. The baklava was crispy and buttery - home run there. All and all a decent joint - just needs some more flavor!

Tikka is a neat Mediterranean style cafe with a simple and delicious selection entrees and appetizers. They even have some tasty home made desserts. I've been there three times now and while it's hard to beat a classic Gyro the Beef Schwarma is my current favorite. Their hummus is also delicious. There are other great Lebanese/Mediterranean places in the vicinity but I am giving Tikka five stars because of the combination of quality and price versus its competitors!

  • Taylor S.

The staff was very friendly here and sweet. I got the Philly cheesesteak with provolone and green peppers and it was really good. It's the best Philly cheesesteak I've had outside of Philly. I wish I ordered some of their sides, they had tons of options from grape leafs to mozzarella cheese sticks. I would definitely return. The only reason for giving the restaurant four stars was that the Philly cheesesteak was a bit salty.

What a great found ! I came here with my friend and I had the Gyro which was amazing and fresh , extra order of the tzatziki ( delicious ). A side of greek fries there were awesome too . Great service will be back again

Very good. I had the chicken swarma pita and the baklava. Try the red pepper hot sauce as well, you may have to ask for it. Will definitely return.

There are a few times in my life that I found a restaurant that stays great so consistently and Tikka Grill is one of them. From there awesome gyros to there costumer service, everything is perfect here at tikka. The owner is super cool and the food seems to never disappoint me. Also a big factor for my rating is the price. The price is great only 5 bucks and some change for a freshly, homemade, giant gyro. I never write reviews but I strongly believe that tikka deserves to get credit for there phenomenal food and service.

Came in 2 minutes before close and the owner was kind enough to let us eat in, made our food fresh, the food was amazing, made us feel very welcome. Best gyros we've had! Definitely worth a visit if you haven't tried this restaurant yet. Thank you!

On one of the few occasions I go to lunch instead of going home, I decided to try Tikka Grill. Based on the great reviews on here, I had fairly high expectations. Tikka Grill definitely blew them away. The menu is a mix of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and american sandwiches and dishes. You can get Tikka Masala, a Gyro, or a cheese steak, what a weird mix. But this makes it a great option for lunch with a group of people. There's bound to be something for everyone, even picky eaters. I haven't dabbled too much into the Greek or middle eastern cuisine yet, but I decided to be brave and try the chicken shawarma warp. It was chopped up chicken with an amazing blend of spices, lettuce, tabbouleh (tomatoes, onions, parsley), hummus, and tzatziki sauce, and the fresh warm pita. I loved every bite of it. The girlfriend got a classic gyro, which was also delicious. One the side we split an order of the popular greek fries. They were just ok. The fries could have been crispier. But the greek dressing and feta was great. The service was solid. The guy was friendly when we had questions about the menu. He was also was the cook. Which we got to see him start making our dishes, which was nice, since everything was being made fresh and nothing was being reheated for us. I am definitely planning on coming back to try more of the crazy menu.

Great food. I had a gyro and baklava. Both were delicious! The gyro was fresh and flavorful. The baklava was different than Greek but also yummy! Guy waiting was very courteous and personable

Best Humus I have had to date, made fresh according to the owner/operator of the place, I have eaten here 3 times now and if I was afraid to try something the owner would make me a sample and or answer questions about the food, how its prepared, and what it is in some cases... Its great prices and awesome service is why its rated so highly on yelp!

No doubt the freshest food! The service is great, they guys that work there are friendly, the food is amazing!!! Especially the gyros and hummus ! I suggest if your ever in the West Chester area of Cincinnati, you go to the Tikka Grill !!!

Great experience from the moment we walked in. Service was fast and super friendly. Food is delicious, generous portions too! If I had to force a complaint, it'd be that the food smell was a little strong, but I tend to find thats a common thread in smaller restaurants like these (see my personal fave little gyro place Greek to Me in Erlanger, KY). I would definitely recommend coming and ordering the platter so you can try a little of everything. Can't wait to come back!

Cheese steak is one of their signature dishes but it was dry and lacked freshness and taste. The humus was good but the pita served along side tasted day old. I love Mediterranean style but this left me cold

I first would like to start with the service, treatment from the owner and the guy responsible for cooking , serving and wrapping the take out orders . Great welcome definitely appreciate his customers tried his best to serve what he had in the best way. my experience with Tikka Grill started today when I placed an order over the phone to take out 3 Mix Grill the guy asked when is the pick up time to make sure the food be fresh at the moment I pick It up as a compliment he added a dessert on top of the meal to please his first time customer and make sure that I will for sure visit his place again. When I got to the table it was a huge portion of food that I didn't expect with a great selection of MIX GRILL , RICE , HUMMUS & BABA. Thank you for the great food and great experience will see you soon.

I still love to go in and have lunch and dinner. The owner, Zane, is friendly and makes up a great plate. I still love the Gyro platter and my husband loves the Shwarma. I probably won't do take-out again though...it's not a good as what you get when you sit down - less food for sure, and this last time my husband brought home the dinners the Gyro meat was very dry and they forgot to pit the pita bread in (usually get it when we dine in.) Big disappointment. I will, for sure, go back to sit down - and will probably let Zane know about my less than happy experiences with take-out. My husband said he wasn't the one packing the to-go stuff that evening.

Just had take-out lunch and it was delicious. I live near here and after reading the previous reviews I thought I'd give it a try. I had the falafel with hummus and a Greek salad. Both were very fresh and the flavors were delicious. The husband had the gyro and Greek fries (fries with Greek seasoning, black olives and feta, yum!). He loved the gyro, the sauce was excellent. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating. The young owner/chef is very friendly and definitely enjoys serving good food. He is a great addition to the neighborhood, I will absolutely be going back!!

We stopped in for the first time. These are the kind of places we seek. The beef shawarma and gyros were very good. Freshly made hummus and good pita bread. The baklava is made by the mother of the family and it is world class. The owner/chef graciously brought us the Basbusa (sp) dessert on the house, and this is absolutely wonderful. I may eat a pound of this next time. We will return.

The food is outstanding, very fresh and flavorful, and the owner is very friendly! The shwarma is so good, great depth of flavor. The falafel is great and fresh, and i have had falafel all over town. Right up there at the top, one of the best in greater Cincinnati. And definitely, indulge in a piece or two of the baklava. Wonderful!

This place is so so so good!! Every sandwich, wrap or salad I've tried has tasted so fresh while being well-made and hearty in portion. Their Greek salad with chicken is addictive but the Philly cheese steak is to die for. Matching their top-notch food is customer service that's just as memorable.

Stopped in on a whim a month ago. Decided to get togo. Owner was behind the counter and offered up information on the meals. Then he helped me decide what I might like. Very polite and friendly. He worked on our food and made sure we were happy. Everything looked clean and organized. Had baklava while on site YUM. Took the gyro and the shwarama home. Food was delicious and I find myself feeling like I have to go back and try more. Oh and the Greek fries were great. So great food great portions great prices.

Delicious. Went on a thursday for dinner. Had the shish kabab, shawarana, greek fries, and hummus. All so good at a good price. Better than any other Mediterranean and at half the price. Owner was so nice and friendly. Worth the experience.

Amazing place! Was skeptical to try but they had amazing gyros, grape leaves, fries, and baklava. Don't forget to try their Greek fries! Will definitely be a frequent visitor.

My husband and I were driving from Detroit to Nashville and stopped at a random exit for lunch. Neither of us wanted fast food and we saw Tikka Philly Steak & Gyros so we decided to give it a whirl and we are glad we did! The owner, Zane, introduced himself to us and made sure we were happy and enjoying our meals. He was fabulous! I ordered the Philly steak cheese sub, my husband order the Chicken Teriyaki and a side of Greek fries to split. Everything was delicious! It was fresh, flavorful and made with high quality ingredients. This place is great! Keep up the great work, Zane! We'll stop by again next time we are in the area :-)

We come here to eat every week. The beef shawerma is amazingly tasty and the gyros are pretty awesome too. I have also had the Tikka Burger and it is unique and very good as well. My wife loves the Philly steaks. As others have mentioned, the owner is very personable and has a passion for his food. Try the baklava as well - his mother makes it and it is delicious.
